Plaquex Oral gelcaps are for the following indications:

  • Hypercholesterolaemia
  • Hyperlipoproteinaemia
  • Liver Disease
  • Suboptimal Blood Rheology
  • Diminished creatinine
  • and urea clearance

Gastric side effects of NSAID usagePlaquex Oral lowers LDL and triglycerides and increases HDL. It also improves blood flow and liver function. Its main ingredient is polyenylphosphatidylcholine. Phosphatidylcholine (PC) is the building block of cell membranes and transport vessels for blood lipids. The action of PC in many studies was reflected in an increase of HDL cholesterol and a decrease in LDL cholesterol, VLDL triglycerides as well as the reduced ratio of LDL/HDL cholesterol. The main reason is that the transport vessels had an increased capacity for LDL and HDL uptake in their cell membranes. The administration of phosphatidylcholine also results in a decrease in aortic lipid peroxidation products, but also an increase in glutathione levels in the liver, plasma, and aortic tissue. The glutathione-dependent antioxidative capacity in the aortic wall was found to increase markedly. Plaquex Oral is indicated for lowering cholesterol levels, and triglyceride levels and to improve liver function but also as an additional treatment to Plaquex infusions to prevent renewed plaque build-up in the blood vessels after removal. In addition, it was shown that oral PC can improve creatinine and urea clearance in patients with kidney disease*
